📋 About This Mod
-- Update, April 1, 2018 --
v2. 0 has been redone. The base file has all of the uniform edits and Harding, as it seemed silly to include her as a separate addon.
There are now just two options, one for each version of Dagna's uniform: a color edit for her (see notes below), or light armor.
* Added Frosty version of all options. The Frosty version should work in all the DLC.
-- Description --
The Art of Dragon Age: Inquisition says, "The colors of the Inquisition are charcoal gray and crimson, evoking the Inquisition's ties to the Seekers, in black, and the Templars, in red."
This is a tint edit mod of almost all of the Inquisition uniforms visible in the game; from orange and green to Inquisition red and charcoal. I haven't played through the whole game with the mod enabled, so if there are problems with the uniforms beyond Haven and the Hinterlands I haven't seen them yet. Please feel free to report any errors with a screenshot.
-- Personal Note --
After playing through the prologue of the game with the mod enabled I’ve come to the determination that the reason the devs made this decision was to distinguish the Inquisition NPCs from those of the Chantry. All of the Chantry NPCs around Haven are wearing similar colors, so it ends up looking like we’re one big, happy family, and since much is made of the Chantry’s ire over the Inquisition’s founding at the beginning of the game, that is certainly not the case.
-- Knows Issues --
There is one error with the elf male light version (the male version of Charter's uniform) where the ropes/harness weren't being changed. As far as I can tell this is a problem with that specific armor not "seeing" the correct tint area information and not tinting that part of the armor. I know of no way to fix this.
-- Notes --
I recolored both the elf and dwarf hoods on the light uniform to gray to correspond with the human version, preferring to keep the red as an accent color only. So even though both the elf and dwarf hoods are orange in the original, this recolor was intentional so that everything is indeed "uniform."
Regarding Dagna. Her default tinting is pretty messed up. Not only do the armor colors not match even the default Inquisition armor colors, but her arms are a weird color, not matching the tint of her face. In addition, her armor doesn't allow for the same tint changes as some of the others, so I was forced to just make everything gray. I tried various things, but was unable to fix her arms.
In light of all this, there are two options for her:
1 A color edit of her default armor, for those who prefer her in that style.
2 A complete change of her uniform to the light armor. I think this looks much better on her. Not only was it silly for her to be wearing a breastplate, but the light armor

📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community favorite with 719 endorsements and over 11k downloads—clearly a lot of players dig the new look.
- Gives the Inquisition a more serious, tactical vibe with red and charcoal instead of the default orange and green.
- Lightweight and to the point—no extra clutter, just the recolor you want.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2018—might not work with the latest game patches, so check before installing.
- Only changes the uniform colors; if you're looking for more variety or customization, this isn't it.
- No screenshots or detailed install instructions in the description, so you're flying blind until you try it.
For Dragon Age: Inquisition players who want a more grounded color palette for their Inquisition forces. If you're tired of the bright orange and green and prefer a darker, more militaristic look, this is a quick fix. Skip if you want more extensive cosmetic overhauls or gameplay changes.
