Mages Unlocked

A collection of mage combat tweaks and restoration of skills that never made it into the final release of the game. A small handful of these abilities were more or less already finished but still ended up getting dropped, so this is a simple recovery of those that survived. Warning: This is not entirely a restoration without its flaws. These abilities will replace a currently existing skill as it isn't possible to add additional slots to skill trees through daimods as far as I'm aware. If any of you figure out a way around this issue, by all means, please feel free to let me know or release your own version of this mod with the fix.

― Strafing Basic Attacks

• ∘ This mod replaces the default mage basic attack behavior and animation, allowing characters to move in any direction while in combat. Characters will throw projectiles from their left hand rather than casting using their staff. The downside is that the final combo attack mages normally do cannot be performed, so be prepared to sacrifice a bit of damage in place of mobility.

― Spirit Blade Toggleable

• ∘ The Knight Enchanted ability Spirit Blade is now a toggleable basic attack and can be spammed without the constant button mashing.

― Elemental Enchantments

• ∘ Fire Enchantment - Temporarily enchants mage basic attack types to the fire element within the spell's AOE range.

  ∘ Ice Enchantment - Temporarily enchants mage basic attack types to the cold element within the spell's AOE range.

  ∘ Lightning Enchantment - Temporarily enchants mage basic attack types to the electric element within the spell's AOE range.

  ∘ WARNING! The Fire Mine and Ice Mine replacement versions of these skills may be extremely buggy and sustain until the map is reloaded.

  ∘ WARNING! Adding an upgrade to the skill it replaces may cause the new ability to be overwritten by the original.

― Reflective Shield

• ∘ Holding down the ability's key will summon a shield around the user that deflects projectiles.

  ∘ WARNING! Adding an upgrade to the skill it replaces may cause the new ability to be overwritten by the original.

― Upcoming List

• ∘ All ability names are currently placeholders based on their file names and may change at any time. Additionally, some may be removed from the list if they don't make it through testing.

∘ All mods part of the Unlocked series can be safely downloaded together and will work perfectly fine.
