Fiona finds her ChapStick

I don't know about you, but it has always bothered me when meeting Fiona for the first time that she appears to have severely chapped lips!  I think we all know it's because of the overshine of all characters' faces in this game...  Well, I've fixed it!  Fiona has found her ChapStick!

This mod fixes the awkward "shine" of Fiona's lips, which is especially apparent when we meet her in Val Royeaux.  It also reduces the shine of her face overall, as well as the faces of many other NPCs: Ser Barris, Scout Harding, and Mother Giselle to name a few.  It does not affect any companions or advisors from what I've seen.

This mod is a work in progress and may be incompatible with any other mod that utilizes the specular map (s asset) for files hf_hed_bas_s, hm_hed_bas_s, and hm_hed2_bas_s so far.  Complexion mods that don't de-shine/modify those files should work just fine.

If you find some NPCs that are still overly shiny, please let me know and I'll add it to this project.

Frosty only

Install:

after downloading, unzip file and use Frosty Mod Manager to add and apply mod

Uninstall:

delete file from Frosty Mod Manager

UPDATE 7/26/2025

The first upload was causing game crash in random places. It has a corrupted file and has since been fixed.  If you have the first version, please delete it and replace it with the 2. 0 file.
