📋 About This Mod
The dwarves invented a lot of strange and fantastic machines. Among them are crossbows: mechanical masterworks in form of a weapon to shoot and kill enemies across the battlefield. The downside is, these tools are only allowed to be used of their own kind.
Seriously, sadly crossbows are Varric-only. If you'd try to equip them on other characters the textures are going crazy and spread all over your screen. If at all, you'll barely see anything.
Crafted crossbows have a slightly lower base damage compared to Bianca but offer additional crafting slots for stat bonuses like crit chance, attack damage, etc. There's also an inherent passive ability (Elemental Mines on Hit) and you can add masterwork/fade-touched materials to it. Ultimately you're able to enhance the power by adding aiming modules, arms and grips like the ones used for Bianca.
The crossbow schematic replaces the tier 2 schematic for Reinforced Bow.
