The edit will be compatible with anything and everything, as long as it doesn't touch that one specific line in the script. The archive is just a . PDF file, and if you want you can view the tutorial as Google Doc here instead.
If you are playing your game in a language that has grammatical gender (Russian, Brazilian, etc.), editing text will make all characters use gender-neutral pronouns for Rook regardless of their chosen gender identity. There is no known fix for that issue.
