Friendship is Magic - Friendly Mode for Lucanis and Neve

Are you a hardcore Lucanis/Davrin shipper? Maybe your one true pairing is Bellara/Neve? Are you primarily a Lucanis romancer but want to try out a different route without seeing your murder beau out with someone else? Want to romance Neve but weirded out by Lucanis' romance lines about her when you've completed his personal quest, but haven't yet committed the romance with Neve? Or do you feel like you're getting in between them, so you don't take them together in the same party and don't do their personal quests, thereby skipping a lot of interesting content? Then this mod is for you.

In past games, DA companion relationships were opt-in, triggering or being acknowledged only if you brought them with you. Not so in Veilguard, as companion romances trigger without the player's input - some content is triggered before Rook has had a full chance to lock in their own romance.

Our mod gives agency back to the player and room for personal headcanons by altering banters and cutscenes to change Lucanis and Neve's dynamic to more friendly, as opposed to romantic, since there were the most requests for these two, regardless of if the player is romancing one of them or not.

What it does:

This mod alters the dialogues, where possible, to change the context of the Lucanis and Neve's interactions, making them more neutral or friendly. Where this was not possible, we changed game logic to not trigger this content. The interactions related to their romance are disabled.

We did our best to make these edits as seamless as possible, while preserving as many interactions as we could.

Installation:

Requires the latest Frosty Mod Manager

Once you have Frosty Mod Manager set up, simply drag the mod into your mod list and click the "apply mods" button to add it to your load order.

If using the Hardened Lucanis Romance version, place this lower in your load order.

Known Bugs:

• []Lucanis will still spawn in Neve's room if she was kidnapped in the finale and the player cut off the romance with both of them. It doesn't affect dialogue.

  []This bug was not detected during the latest tests, but we will mention it just in case it is not fully fixed. Sometimes Lucanis and Neve can visit each other silently at the Lighthouse. Everything will work normally outside the camp.
