📋 About This Mod
Lowers merchant markup prices to 100% down from ranging values of 110% to 300% at various merchants. Items are sold to you at their default price. Additionally, you may choose to also have items you sell at increased rates of either 35% or
NOTE:Prices will not change at any merchant you have already visited in your current game. Creating a new game will allow you to play with the new prices. Alternatively, if you have the Dragon Age Toolset, you may follow the instructions below in order to modify your save game to edit the values of merchants you have visited. A quick, simple process if followed carefully.
DESCRIPTION
No Merchant Markup lowers the merchant markup prices to 100% down from ranging values of 110% to 300%, depending on the vendor. Basically, this means that items are sold to you at their default values, rather than being increased by, sometimes, huge amounts. Even Bodahn, the camp merchant, sells his items to you at 150% of their original worth! For instance, an item with a value of 100 gold would be sold to you at 150 gold by Bodahn. This mod changes that.
Merchants also have a markdown price. By default, merchants purchase your items at 25% of their original value. You may choose to increase this sale value to either 35% or 50%. 50% will double the amount of money you receive from selling items, so it is recommended not to use any other gold increasing mods, as it may become too easy.
Additionally, Lloyd will pay you for your items when intimidated now. In the original game, any items sold to him would give you no money in return.
CHANGES
Added a version which retains the sale prices from the original game, but allows you to sell your items for 50% item value.
HOW TO EDIT YOUR SAVE
- []If you don\'t have the Dragon Age Toolset installed, download that first. []Run the Toolset and go to File>Open File []Navigate to your save file (My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Characters\\CharName\\Saves) []Open the folder with your latest save file (probably the quick save or AutoSave_1) []Open the .das file inside []Expand SAVEGAME_AREALIST, a bunch of numbers come up, start by expanding 0 []If there is a + next to SAVEGAME_AREA_STORES, expand it, if not then collapse 0 and go to 1 []Once you find a SAVEGAME_AREA_STORES you can expand, expand the store(s) inside []Now you will see the MARKDOWN and MARKUP values inside for that merchant []Leave SAVEGAME_STORE_MARKDOWN at 25 unless you want your items to sell for more, try 35 or 50 []If SAVEGAME_STORE_MARKUP is already at 100, leave it, otherwise change it to 100 []Make sure you change both stores if there are two in SAVEGAME_AREA_STORES []Once you have modified the store(s), continue expanding under SAVEGAME_AREALIST []Many areas won\'t have any stores, this is normal, just collapse and go to the next area
- Once you finish, File>Save, and load up your game!
