Apostate Robe Fixes

The mod Apostate Clothing by tmp, though a great mod, has some broken meshes in it known to cause crashes. This wouldn't be much of a problem on its own, but it's packaged with Improved Atmosphere and embedded into a lot of its files.

While I don't really play with Improved Atmosphere, the only solution people seemed to have was to rake through every UTC file in the game trying to remove it, which seemed pretty unfun for the new modder.

So I have made two solutions.

The first tries to fix the problem by hopefully fixing the meshes.

Or if you don't want to worry about it anymore at all, I made an option that cleanly excises all of it from your game.

Option 1) Fixed meshes

As far as I can tell from the complaints, the female meshes are bugged in some way. I haven't actually been able to figure out the cause, so this is something of a shot in the dark.

I have remade all the EF and HF meshes, but reused the original's weights and models.

I also remade HM Mag_A entirely because it had some errors on import.

Let me know if they work, I genuinely don't know if they will. If they don't... ah well.

I've also included a modder's resource pack of textures, taken from da2's high texture files. There's not much point polishing them for a potentially crashy mesh, but someone might have a use for them.

How to Install

Download Apostate Mesh Fix File.

Go to  Override > Improved Atmosphere > 1. Global > 1. 4 Items > Materials > Apostate Clothes

Drag and drop all the files so they overwrite the ones in the Apostate Clothes folder.

If you don't have Improved Atmosphere but want to try this, just throw the folder in your override somewhere.

Option 2) Total removal

This will make all the apostate clothes look like peasant clothes. (variations coma, comb, and comc to be exact) This will work with any retexture or model replacer mod you have for the peasant clothing. It works by telling the game that anything using the apostate meshes and textures is supposed to be using different ones instead. This should remove the problem at the source, and not mess up any saves.

How to Install

Download the Common Clothing Apostate File. It will have a file in it called clothing_variation_apostate.gda

Override > Improved Atmosphere > 1. Global > 1. 4 Items > Materials > Apostate Clothes

Overwrite the clothing_variation_apostate.gda in there with this new one.

That should be done. You should be able to tell pretty quickly if it worked or not, the apostate clothing should just not show up.

Alternately if you can't find the file, you can rename the folder to come after Improved At
