Beretta Px4 Storm Pistol

This mod adds the Beretta Px4 Storm Pistol in 9x19 mm for all classes (unlocked by default). In-game, it's comparable to the Glock 17 and Sig P226, but with slightly higher accuracy and rate of fire, simulating the effects of its comparatively lower bore axis and lower recoil. While the 9mm round does less damage than other available ammunition, the high rate of fire and large magazine capacity provide significant tactical advantages. In order to balance it against other 9mm pistols, the draw time for the Px4 is slightly higher, representing the need to disengage the slide-mounted safety. In real life, the Px4 series is Beretta's 2004 successor to its famous Model 92 series, and is intended for law enforcement and personal defensive use. Borrowing from the Beretta 8000's design, the rifling of the barrel generates counter-clockwise torque which absorbs additional recoil energy, resulting in a small but noticeable reduction in felt recoil compared to other semi-automatic handguns chambered for the same caliber. The compact and sub-compact variants are available in 9mm or . 40 S&W, and the full-size variant comes in either of those calibers or in . 45 ACP. Depending on the variant, magazines may be interchangeable with a variety of other Beretta weapons, including the Model 92 and the Cx4 Carbine. In a 2007 marketing maneuver, Beretta announced that the families of American police officers who register with Beretta USA's Project Allegiance will receive a $10,000 death benefit should the officer be killed in the line of duty.
