📋 About This Mod

Autoturret inflicts fire like the flame belch from DOOM Eternal, with many other fixes.

This mod gives autoturret the ability to inflict fire onto demons, you get more armor from more landed shots.

The autoturret's projectile travels 22% faster so it can cover more distance before projectile expires (speed: 180 to 220).

Shoots twice as fast effectively halving time for animation end so you can trigger this more frequently.

Increased clip radius from 1. 3 to 1. 35 so you are less likely to miss shots, maximizing damage and armor gain.

Lastly, I changed projectile's impact effect to skullcrusher firemode's explosion particles (for visual coolness).

You gain 2 armor + 2 health per fodder

You gain 20 + 5 armor if all shots land on a single target, you could get more if you spread your shots onto several heavy enemies as each will passively drop 5 once set on fire.

RANT: Just found out the autoturret's increased magazine size upgrade (30 increased to 50) does not apply for the final upgrade; meaning the autoturret shoots less/does less damage. This has to be an oversight from id.

I have tried tweaking the cooldown time of this shield rune from the default 3000ms down to 0ms or 1ms but it seemed to make no difference, I have no idea why. It would be so fun if autoturret stood out as a spammy shield rune gimmick since the turret shooting animation already takes away so much time before the reset counter refreshes (that's why it's the worst)

Changelogs:

VERSION 1. 2

Discovered the "cylindrical radius damage" and "range increase" did not affect stats

Found other ways to implement by changing the actorclipmask radius (1. 3 to 1. 35) and projectile speed (180 to 220)

VERSION 1. 1

20 armor + 5 overtime = 25 armor from single heavy

In addition to 2 armor, 2 health will ALWAYS drop from each fodder now because vanilla autoturret does not drop health from fodder kills when at low health so this is to compensate

This was done by changing fodder health drop cooldown from 1000ms down to 0ms, so instead of gaining only 2 health every 1 second from a fodder, you gain for every fodder kill

Autoturret shoots twice as fast, while still outputting same total damage. Allowing for more frequent rune recharge opportunities and rapid incineration (closer behavior to a fast ticking flame). Magazine size still 30

No longer depends on rs_streamfile@generated@decls/aidamagedeclcollection@slayer/weapon_super_shotgun_combat.decl file so no conflicts with firemode skullcrusher

VERSION 1. 0

Default range of 5. 75 increased to 10 (DID NOT WORK)

Sets heavies on fire for +5 passive armor each

30 armor obtainable from single heavy (overrides +5 overtime so 30 is the maximum)

2 armor from fodder

Default health drops are untouched

Magazine size 30

Autoturret firerate and duration is default, magazine size 30

This version conflicts with my Firemode Skullcrusher mod due to this file:

rs_streamfile@generated@decls/aidamagedeclcollection@slayer/weapon_super_shotgun_combat.decl

but it is also compatible as the skullcrusher line is in that same file:

item = "damage/firearm/skullcrusher_cylindrical_excited";

So I advise to remove that line if you only want to play with the flame belch autoturret only otherwise excited pulverizer may make fiery demons drop armor while playing with this and set the numbering lists accordingly, then save
