Hotbar Arrow Direction Switch

Move forward through your hotbar pages with the Down arrow and back with Up.

- Down: 1 → 2 → 3 → 4 → 5 → 1

- Up: 1 → 5 → 4 → 3 → 2 → 1

You keep your existing keyboard controls. This mod changes the two on-screen arrows.

Install version 1. 1. 0

For Divinity: Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition with keyboard and mouse. Download hotbar-arrow-direction-switch-v1. 1. 0.zip and keep it zipped. You need no installer script, Script Extender or additional mod dependency. For a fresh installation, your manager handles file placement.

Vortex

1. Close the game and select Divinity: Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition in Vortex.

2. Open Mods → Install From File and choose the ZIP.

3. Enable the mod and complete Deploy Mods, including the permission prompt if shown.

4. Start the game.

Divinity Mod Manager

1. Close the game and open Divinity Mod Manager for Definitive Edition.

2. Choose File → Import Mod… (Ctrl+M) and select the ZIP.

3. Confirm the import. Use File → Reload All (F5) if you need to refresh the list.

4. Start the game. You do not need to move this interface mod to Active or export a load order.

Disable or remove

Close the game before changing the installation.

- Vortex: choose Disabled and complete Deploy Mods, then restart the game. Use Remove to remove the installation. Leave Delete Archive unchecked to keep the ZIP for reinstalling.

- Divinity Mod Manager: right-click the mod and choose Delete Mod. Leave Permanent unchecked to use the Recycle Bin. If you added the mod to Active, also select Remove From Load Order. Confirm and restart the game.

This shared interface override works while its package is present. Moving it to DDMM's Inactive list or unchecking it in the game's mod menu does not disable it. It can affect other game profiles that share the same Mods folder.

Updating from the older manual version

If you installed this mod by copying a loose interface file into the game folder, follow that release's uninstall instructions before switching to this package. Keep any backup of a previous interface override. The new ZIP does not remove the old loose file, which can override the package or remain active after package removal. We have not tested automatic migration from the manual release. The older manual download keeps its own installation instructions.

Compatibility and tested scope

We tested local ZIP import with Vortex 1. 9. 7 and Divinity Mod Manager 1. 10. 6. 1 on Windows, DOS2 Definitive Edition 3. 6. 117. 3735, using keyboard and mouse. We checked this mod on its own and alongside Memorised by School. You can use either mod without the other.

Other mods that replace Public/Game/GUI/hotBar.swf may conflict. We have not verified controller UI, Classic Edition, other operating systems, multiplayer or other managers. We have not tested Nexus's Mod manager download button for this release; use the local ZIP import steps above.

You can now install the existing interface change as a standard PAK through the tested managers. The interface behavior is unchanged from the verified manual-release payload.
