Dishonored 2 - 240 FPS Limiter

Dishonored 2 was originally limited to a maximum of 120 FPS.

Dishonored 2 - 240 FPS Limiter

This mod extends Dishonored 2's native in-game framerate limiter beyond its original 120 FPS maximum.

It adds the following options directly to the game's Graphics menu:

30 / 45 / 60 / 75 / 90 / 105 / 120 / 135 / 150 / 165 / 180 / 195 / 210 / 225 / 240 FPS

No external configuration file is required. The additional values are integrated directly into the original in-game FPS Limiter selector.

The original game stops at 120 FPS, which is unnecessarily restrictive on modern high-refresh-rate displays.

The primary purpose of this mod is simply to allow Dishonored 2 to run above 120 FPS and make better use of 144 Hz, 165 Hz, 180 Hz and 240 Hz displays.

Frame pacing / RTSS

During testing, I also noticed that setting the in-game limiter to 240 FPS while using RTSS to externally limit the game to 120 FPS felt smoother than using a 120 FPS limit both in-game and externally.

Initial frametime testing in the Dust District also showed fewer large frametime excursions with the 240 + RTSS configuration in the tested run.

This should be considered an experimental observation rather than a guaranteed frame-pacing fix. Results can vary depending on hardware, settings and scene.
