Borderless Windowed for Dishonored 1

Description

I use alt tab a lot while gaming for a variety of reasons. Not being able to alt tab instantly like in newer games drives me insane, and I have seen old reddit posts asking for this mod. I tried generic solutions that can add borderless windowed to older games that don't have it, to no avail. So this DLL mod was created and tested specifically for dishonored 1, as it is a masterpiece and deserves a modern QOL feature like this. 

Installation instructions

Copy these two files into the dishonored folder \Binaries\Win32: (assuming default steam installation)

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dishonored\Binaries\Win32

- DishonoredBorderless.ini

I haven't tested vortex installation yet but if anyone would like, I can make sure that works as well.

I scanned the .dll file with VirusTotal.com, was flagged as malware by 0 of 70 scanners. Here is the link:

Windows loads d3d9.dll from a game's folder before the copy in System32, so Dishonored loads this one instead. It immediately loads the real C:\WINDOWS\system32\d3d9.dll and forwards every call to it, changing only two things on the way past: the game's Direct3D device is created windowed instead of exclusive fullscreen, and the window is held borderless at monitor size.

Compatibility

Other mods also use a d3d9.dll file, so this mod is incompatible with those as two files of the same name will conflict. Some of those include:

Requirements

None other than game running on windows, and this was only tested on the steam version, not GOG or Epic games.
