Gates will automatically open for you when you approach them, then close as you walk away.
You can still open a gate manually if you stand a bit away from it, and if you do it will stay open until you close it manually as well. At which point, it will go back to being automatic.
If you use Holding Pattern, please make sure it is up to date. There was a problem with gates that was made worse by this mod, but has been fixed.
