DSTS Undub mod

What this does

Rebuilds the game’s text packs to undub most dialogue cues and terminology (cutscenes and in-field chatter references) by restoring original Japanese proper nouns in the English UI: Digimon names, attack names, titles, and key terms. The focus is names and terminology; general story text stays as-is except where required for consistency.

Status

• []All/almost all Digimon names undubbed

Motivation / Philosophy

• []Original names honor the original creators. Dubs can be fine, but they’re derivative, and some Digimon dub choices are, frankly, blatantly racist (cough Savers cough). It’s jarring to click Agumon’s Baby Flame when the voice says Baby Flame but the prompt reads Pepper Breath. Likewise, it’s cringe to read Creepymon when the Japanese VO is saying the correct Demon. This mod restores the originals.
