📋 About This Mod
This D2RMM mod adds a new melee area damage affix that allows single target melee attacks to damage groups of enemies.
There are multiple (optional) ways to use the new to get this affix:
-
[]Allow it to spawn randomly on small, large or grand charms.
[
]Add a unique small charm that has the new affix to Gheed's shop. The area damage is implemented as a Nova-like projectile that spawns at point of impact when you hit an enemy in melee (this applies only to single target skills, not things like Whirlwind). That means the area damage will also hit the original target that spawned it. As such, for balance, there's an option to reduce your overall melee damage in order to keep total single target damage at vanilla levels (as always, this is fully customizable, so you can tailor it to your experience).
See the source code on GitHub.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Solid community traction with 390 endorsements and over 18k downloads.
- Directly addresses a common melee weakness—clearing packs—without overhauling the whole game.
- Tight integration with D2RMM means easy installation for mod manager users.
⚠️ Cons
- Only adds one affix, so it's a narrow tweak rather than a full gameplay overhaul.
- Relies on D2RMM, so you're locked into that mod manager's ecosystem.
- Potential balance concerns—area damage on melee could trivialize certain encounters, though not confirmed.
For Diablo II Resurrected players who love melee builds but hate being stuck hitting one enemy at a time. If you're already using D2RMM and want a focused quality-of-life buff, this is a no-brainer. Skip if you're looking for a complete combat rework or prefer ranged builds.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have D2RMM installed and set up before adding this mod—it won't work without it.
- After installing, check the mod's settings in D2RMM to see if the affix can be tuned to your liking.
- Test the affix on a low-level character first to get a feel for the area damage radius and how it interacts with your build.
