Description

'D2R Sprite ED2R' is a standalone Windows tool for creating and batch-editing the `.sprite` / `.lowend.sprite` / `.png` files used for UI elements (buttons, panels, HUD graphics, etc.) in Diablo II: Resurrected mods. It isn't a mod by itself — it's a companion tool for modders. Existing sprite editors only let you process one file at a time, which becomes painfully slow once a UI element needs several colored/sized/hover variants. This tool is built around batch workflows: point it at a folder (or several), and it can convert, resize, recolor, or reassemble dozens of files in one pass instead of one-by-one.

Installation instructions

1. Download and extract the zip anywhere on your PC — it's fully portable, no installer needed.

2. Run `D2R_Sprite_ED2R.exe`. Windows SmartScreen may flag it as unrecognized since it isn't code-signed — click "More info" → 

    "Run anyway" to launch it.

3. On first launch, default settings and a starter set of frame presets are created automatically under `%APPDATA%\D2RSpriteStudio`.

4. (Optional, recommended) Open Settings and set your "folder/file load start path" to your mod's `data\hd\...` working folder, and set a 

    backup folder if you'd like `.bak` backups kept somewhere specific. If English isn't already selected, you can switch it there too

Main features

- Batch loading: open a folder, pick individual files, or drag-and-drop (including whole folders); `.sprite`, `.lowend.sprite`, `.png`, and

                            `.gif` are all recognized automatically, grouped by folder, and sortable by name (numeric-aware, so `frame2` sorts 

before `frame10`).

- Frame editor: view every frame of a multi-frame sprite in a grid, swap individual frames with a new PNG (drag-and-drop supported),

reorder/delete frames, and export frames back out as individual PNGs or a single contact sheet.

- Video → sprite/GIF: load a short MP4/WebM clip, extract frames (by count or FPS, with a time range and optional chroma-key

                                     background removal), and save the result straight to `.sprite` (+ auto-generated lowend) or to a real animated 

- Folder-set batch merge: register folders in order (e.g. Folder 1 = base color, Folder 2 = upgraded color...) and the tool matches
