Description

A quality-of-life mod for Derail Valley that enhances your railway operations in two major ways:

1. Museum Locomotive Map Tracking: Automatically places visible markers on the valley map for all player-spawned and unrestored museum locomotives, fully integrated with fast travel.

2. Consist & Cab Telemetry HUD: Adds a lightweight, customizable on-screen overlay showing real-time train mass, coupler-to-coupler length, brake pipe pressure, brake line continuity, cab controls (throttle and brake levels), and low resource warnings.

Main features

🗺️ 1. Museum Locomotive Map Tracking

• Auto-Discovery & Tagging: Spawns custom markers for museum/player-spawned locomotives formatted as {Model} ({CarID}) (e.g., DE6 (DE6-081)).

• Fast Travel Support: Works seamlessly as destination markers on the in-game map.

• Anti-Culling Persistence: Keeps markers visible even when locomotives are unloaded or across the map.

• Per-Loco Filters: Independently toggle tracking for DE2, DH4, DE6, DM3, S282, S060, and custom/other locomotives.

📊 2. Consist & Locomotive Telemetry HUD

• Cab Controls: Color-coded live gauges for Throttle (green with notches/percentage), Independent Locomotive Brake (yellow), and Automatic Train Brake (red).

• Train Dimensions: Displays total car count and coupler-to-coupler length in meters.

• Weight Breakdown: Total consist mass, cargo mass, and tare (empty) mass in metric tons.

• Brake Diagnostics: Real-time brake line continuity status (OK / CUT), tail-car rear pipe pressure (in bar), applied handbrakes count, and braked mass percentage.

• Alerts & Safety: Real-time low resource warnings (fuel, sand, water, oil) and Hazmat cargo detection.

• Customizable Placement: Dynamically resized HUD box that can be anchored to Top-Right, Top-Left, Bottom-Right, or Bottom-Left.

Installation instructions

Via Unity Mod Manager (Recommended):

1. Install and open Unity Mod Manager (UMM) for Derail Valley.

2. Go to the Mods tab.

3. Drag and drop the UnrestoredMuseumLocoTracker-v1. 0. 0.zip file into the UMM window.

Manual Installation:

1. Extract the contents of UnrestoredMuseumLocoTracker-v1. 0. 0.zip.

2. Copy the UnrestoredMuseumLocoTracker folder into your Derail Valley mods directory:

<Derail Valley Directory>\Mods\UnrestoredMuseumLocoTracker\

3. Ensure info.json and DerailValleyMuseumMap.dll are inside that folder.
