TurboTurbo - Engine exhaust effects

Description

TurboTurbo adds a turbocharger to the engine simulation. The turbocharger simulation is used to drive dynamic smoke effects:

• []Apply throttle quickly and you'll see heavy black soot as the turbo spins up[/]

  []A clean burning engine now produces little smoke, hot air shimmer means exhaust is still visible[/]

  []At higher engine power, more exhaust is produced: smoke is heavier and flies out higher[/]

  []Throttling up after prolonged idling vaporises unburned fuel that has accumulated in the exhaust, creating white smoke[/]

  Currently only the DE6 is supported, other engines will be added soon.

  Installation instructions

  Note that this mod is still in beta. I have tested it extensively and have not found any issues, but if you find anything, let me know. All feedback is welcome.

  To install, download the ZIP file and extract to the Mods directory.

  Main features

  See description. There is a pretty detailed simulation underlying all this. If you're interested in adjusting the effects, open the dev panel (enter turbodev in console), or bind a hotkey via the mod settings.

  Mod compatibility

  No compatibility problems known. Integration with other mods is possible but still experimental. If you'd like to integrate support in a vehicle mod, contact me on the official Derail Valley discord server (@geluk).
