📋 About This Mod
Description
The Santa Fe 2900 Class was a series of 30 4-8-4 "Northern" type steam locomotives built between 1943 and 1944 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works (BLW) for Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad (AT&SF) and pulled freight and passenger trains until retirement in the early to late-1950s.
Today, six 2900s survive, with five engines on static display and one, No. 2926, has been restored to operating condition in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Fully restored in July 2021, it is considered to be the largest and heaviest operating 4-8-4 type steam locomotive in the world.
Well, today No. 2901 will get to relive her glory days and run the mainline again, in Derail Valley. Based on the late 2901, scraped in 1959, this "Northern" type powerhouse, and her accompanying 8 axle tender will give you the range, and supply to live out the panicle of what the ultimate steam locomotive was capable of, for whatever your day on the railroad calls for.

Main features
With great thanks to LittleNiko36 who brought you the FEF 844 and Daylight, Santa Fe 2901 is able to run as an "oil burner", utilizing the already available diesel fuel as a substitute. With custom bell animations, extra particle effects, and more, there is a slew of other features, easter eggs, and details to find as you traverse the railroad and get to know Santa Fe's "Northern" type 2901.
