📋 About This Mod
Here are 4 CSX skins for the DE6. I made them prior to the Simulator update but have tested them and made sure they work with the current version.
6/08/2025 Added some extra skins for use with Laines007 DE6 High Hood mod. So if you're looking to add some extra variation to your CSX fleet be sure to pick those up.
I have noticed that when switching skins with the Reskin tool in the radio, all of the doors do not update their texture automatically. They still have the previous texture on them. You have to move away from the loco so that it triggers a lower LOD mesh to load. Then when you walk back to the loco the doors will have the proper texture. If the loco spawns normally with a new texture applied there are no issues with the texture on the doors.
For version 2. 0 I revamped the skins so that there are now 3 different versions of the paint jobs. The locos will now spawn clean, weathered or rusty. I have also added skins for the DE6 slug that you can change with the radio.
As of version 1. 2 you can now use Number Manager to spawn the locos with random numbers, or change the number to one you personally like.
To install this skin, you will need the Skin Manager and Unity Mod Manager. After downloading the file open up Unity Mod Manager, go to the Mods tab and drag and drop the CSX_DE6_Liveries.zip file there. With the new version of Skin Manager there's no need to manually drop the files into the skins folder anymore.
