📋 About This Mod
This pack is one of the first ones I made once I learned how to make skins. If you find anything wrong with them or you have suggestions for other CSX liveries that I missed, just let me know!
CSX DE6 Liveries is a cosmetic mod for Derail Valley that adds CSX-themed paint jobs to the DE6 locomotive, including heritage units and the Operation Lifesaver livery. With 25 endorsements and 616 downloads, it's a niche pick for fans of real-world railroads.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Faithful to real CSX paint schemes—heritage units and Operation Lifesaver are iconic
- Small but active community (25 endorsements, 616 downloads)
- Easy to install—just drop files in, no extra dependencies
⚠️ Cons
- Only covers the DE6—no other locomotives or rolling stock
- No screenshots or install guide in the description, so you're flying blind until you try it
- Last updated in 2023—may not work with newer game versions
For Derail Valley players who love real-world railroads and want to run CSX-inspired trains. If you're after gameplay changes or more variety across multiple locos, this isn't it—it's purely cosmetic and DE6-specific.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Back up your original DE6 textures before overwriting, so you can revert if you don't like the look.
- Check the mod's file structure matches your Derail Valley install folder—usually under StreamingAssets.
- If the liveries don't show up, verify the game version and that you placed files in the right directory.
