CR P70 boxcars

P70型通用棚车，2003年由齐齐哈尔厂设计生产，载重70t，容积145立方米。

2002年，齐齐哈尔车辆公司会同铁道科学研究院运输及经济研究所对近7年的棚车运用现状、未来棚车适运货物的构成情况进行了分析和研究。随后在2003年研发出了25t轴重的P70型通用棚车。

P70型通用棚车适用于在中国准轨铁路上运输怕受日晒、雨雪侵袭的成件货物、包装货物、袋装货物及各种箱装、零担货物;适应叉车等机械化装卸作业。

# P70 Boxcar## P70 General-Purpose Boxcar

Designed and manufactured by Qiqihar Rolling Stock Works in 2003, the P70 general‑purpose boxcar has a load capacity of 70 tonnes and a volume of 145 cubic meters.

In 2002, Qiqihar Rolling Stock Co., Ltd., together with the Transport and Economic Research Institute of the China Academy of Railway Sciences, analyzed and studied the operation status of boxcars over the previous seven years and the composition of goods suitable for future boxcar transportation.

Subsequently, the P70 general‑purpose boxcar with a 25‑tonne axle load was developed in 2003.

The P70 boxcar is suitable for transporting unitized goods, packaged goods, bagged goods, various boxed goods and less‑than‑carload (LCL) goods that need protection from sunlight, rain and snow on China’s standard‑gauge railways.

It supports mechanized loading and unloading operations such as forklifts.
