Demon's Souls PC Remaster

Modifies the game's models to now react to light sources like wall torches, campfires, etc. Upgrades armor rendering to use cubemaps. Normal and specular maps added for most surfaces. Player and object shadows blended properly with the baked shadows. Dynamic shadows turned on for objects like spears with banners, crates, barrels, in shrine of storms.

Certain models will be higher polygon count in this mod, like the distant mountains in the first tutorial level, distant mountains in smithing grounds, and big rocks in the environment in shrine of storms.

known issues:

longer boot up time. it's strange. it'll happen for a while. and then it wont. then it will again for a while. But once in game, the loading is totally normal.

Some people are reporting the second maneater looks weird. I haven't been able to reproduce this yet.

Installation:

Requires RPCS3 emulator to be installed and setup (guide here: https://rpcs3.net/quickstart)

Download my mod and copy the folders to your Demon Souls USRDIR folder. Overwrite when asked.

You're done!

Optional: download my reshade preset which adds RTAO, TAA, GI and sharpening. Just install reshade to your RPCS3 folder using the rpcs3.exe as the game executable it asks for. Then select Vulkan. And then choose my preset file that you'll find in the downloads section. You can put that preset file in your RPCS3 folder as well. Reshade can be found here: https://reshade.me/#download
