Damage reduction mod

I've been looking for a damage reduction mod for a long time, a sort of "Easy mode" mod but for Demon's Souls. These type of mods exist for all Souls up to Elden Ring, but never anything for Demon's.

So I wanted to try to do my part and create this mod for the progenitor of Souls, the most deserving.

Personally I think the NG game is well balanced, but NG+ and up is just too much.

So I recommend using the 40% reduction in NG+.

But of course, you have free will.

NB: The damage taken will gradually increase up to NG+5 (which I think is the maximum)

I created four variations of my mod, in order to adapt to most needs:

-Reduction -40% (Recommended in NG+)

-Reduction -50% (Just a regular RPG game)

-Reduction -70% (Can i play, Daddy?)

-Reduction -95% (For real Journalists only)

Now this mod is merged with Infinite Economic Stone of Ephemeral Eyes mod; no more optional separate file.

Installation:

1- Make a backup of gameparamna.parambnd.dcx and gameparam.parambnd.dcx into ...\PS3_GAME\USRDIR\param\gameparam\

2- Replace files into here (...\PS3_GAME\USRDIR\param\gameparam\)

Compatibility:

it is not compatible with any mod that touches the gameparamna.parambnd.dcx and gameparam.parambnd.dcx files.

Like for example "Unofficial Patches", although in this case you can install all the other files. (although I don't know what could break in that mod)

Its normal.

It took me time because I had to solve a series of problems, as I could not find a tool to edit the files and then find the file to edit.

So I'll explain how I did it for anyone who might be able to help.

For editing I used "DSMapStudio 1. 06"

(mod update 1. 2 made with DSMapStudio version 1. 10. 0)

However, it only opens the American version, the BLUS30443.

After getting it, the tool gave me another type of error:

(DSMapStudio Version 1. 06

One or more errors occurred. (Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Users\march\Downloads\DSMapStudio-1. 06\Assets\Paramdex\DES\Names'.)

So I trivially took the "Names" folder inside "DSMapStudio-1. 06\Assets\Paramdex\DS1" and put it in DES

And what about ... It works

The file I modified is "gameparamna.parambnd.dcx", SpEffectParam, Row from 7001 to 7010 (NG areas values; they are multipliers for every area) and from 7400 to 7415 (NG+ areas values multiplier; they multiply NG values in order to obtain NG+ values)

the touched values are:

PhysicsAttackPowerRate

MagicAttackPowerRate

FireAttackPowerRate

Basically what I did is edit all 10 Tier locations (each location has its own Tier) by changing the damage rate value for each one.

I was lucky to find these parameters because they are also the same for Dark Souls 3, Sekiro and Elden RIng (I dont know for Dark Souls 1; while DS2 is different)
