DISCLAIMER: YOU MUST HAVE EITHER A SLOW SSD (200-400MB/s READ & WRITE SPEED) OR HDD. OTHERWISE THIS MOD WILL NOT WORK AS GOOD

After countless hours of trial and error, I have concluded that the traversal stutter is caused by the assets being loaded too fast between the CPU and the SSD. - By installing the game onto a slower SSD (200-450MB/s MAX) or a simple HDD to fit DSR (and only DSR) on it negates this issue and causes the stutters to vanish

The only problem after doing this is the assets themselves takin too long to load (specifically if you're going about using the HDD), so I have adjusted the shader state settings in the initfs using frosty editor to compensate for this and fix the texture loading as well, so now the game will run normally with no issues, and you will have no stutters when going from deck to deck on the Ishimura. Please follow the simple installation instructions exactly below.

1. Install either a slow SSD or an HDD into your PC (if not already installed) and it helps if these drives are completely empty but not entirely necessary

2. Install Dead Space from Steam or EA APP onto your new SSD or HDD (This will take longer than your normal installs on an NvME)

3. Now it is time for the FBMOD installation: You will require a compatible version of the Frosty Mod Manager to utilize this file. (You can ignore this if you install the drag and drop from the optional files tab- for that file you will only drag the initfs_win32 file into the data folder of the root DSR folder and click yes to replace when prompted)
