📋 About This Mod
Extract, listen to, and replace intro, victory, and loss voicelines with ease!
L1G Toolkit extracts, previews, and replaces Ogg Vorbis audio within supported Dead or Alive 5 Last Round .l1g voice banks, including banks containing intro, victory, and loss voicelines. It can also compare original and replacement waveforms, adjust replacement timing, and rebuild the modified bank.
REQUIREMENTS AND INSTALLATION:
-
[]Install Python 3 with Tkinter, which is included with the standard Windows Python installer.[/]
[]Extract the entire ZIP into a folder.[/]
[]Keep L1G_Toolkit.py and the assets folder together.[/]
[]Double-click L1G_Toolkit.py to launch.[/]
Close the program before running either installer inside the assets folder:
-
[]Install_Playback.bat: installs Pygame for in-app audio playback.[/]
[]Install_Alignment.bat: installs NumPy and bundled FFmpeg for waveform alignment.[/]
Installation requires internet access. Normal use is offline. Basic extraction and replacement work without these optional components.
If a feature remains unavailable after installation, launch the program using the command above to use the same Python installation as the installers.
USAGE OF THE TOOLKIT:
1. EXTRACT AND OPEN A VOICE BANK
Using Lnk_ReShuffle’s Asset Browser, locate and extract the character’s relevant CHAR_VOICE_…_JP.l1g or …_EN.l1g asset. Keep an untouched backup. In L1G Toolkit, click Open L1G and select the extracted bank. The clip table displays each entry’s number, duration, sample rate, channel count, size, and replacement status. Clip numbers represent their order within the bank, not named dialogue events.
2. FIND AND PREVIEW A CLIP
Select a row and click Play selected, or double-click the row.
-
[]Stop or Escape stops playback.[/]
[]Space toggles playback while the clip table has keyboard focus.[/]
[]Selecting another clip stops the current preview.[/]
[]After replacement, playback previews the replacement currently loaded in memory.[/]
Choose another destination if extracted_voices already exists. Extraction includes any replacements or alignment edits already applied in the current session.
3. PREPARE AND LOAD A REPLACEMENT
Replacement audio must be Ogg Vorbis (.ogg). WAV, MP3, and Opus files are not accepted.
Match the original clip’s sample rate and channel count shown in the tool. Do not assume every bank uses the same settings. Keep the replacement’s volume close to the original. The usual format is 48000 Hz, mono.
Select the target row, click "replace selected," and choose your replacement file. If its duration differs, the tool asks whether to continue. Accept this if you intend to adjust its timing afterward.
The replacement is loaded in memory. It is not written into a bank until you use Save new L1G.
3. ALIGN THE REPLACEMENT (OPTIONAL)
After loading a replacement, click "align replacement." The upper waveform shows the original clip from the bank you opened. The lower waveform shows the unedited replacement. Both use the same time and amplitude scale.
Timing controls:
-
[]Drag the lower waveform left or right to shift it.[/]
[]Enter a value in Shift (ms) for precise timing.[/]
[]Use −10 ms and +10 ms for small adjustments.[/]
[]A positive offset delays the replacement by adding leading silence.[/]
[]A negative offset moves it earlier by trimming its beginning.[/]
Match original duration is enabled by default. It pads shorter output with silence or trims.
Preview and apply
Use "play original" and "play adjusted" to compare the clips.
-
[]Apply commits the adjusted replacement in memory. A confirmation appears if audio will be trimmed.[/]
[]Reset returns to zero shift with duration matching enabled.[/]
[]Cancel discards changes made in the alignment window. The replacement loaded before opening the editor remains in place.[/]
These source files and editor settings are not stored inside the saved L1G bank. Keep your
