DOA5 VU Mod V3 Alpha

We are finally going to get some new DOA games, DOA6 Last Round and New DOA Project.

So I decided to release this unfinished build because I don’t need to stick to DOA5 anymore.

This build represents only about 10% of what I had planned.

Remember, it’s buggy, unstable, and somehow feels like a downgrade compared to V2.

The most important thing is that there will be no updates.(except game crash issue)

Is this end of DOA5 VU Mod? No, this mod will be back when the new DOA game fails. And I wish that will never happen.

DOA5 VU Mod V3 Alpha patch notes (2/15/2026)

Restored ambient reflection maps

Polygon-based hair shadows (Default only), (buggy mess)

Restored some custom models and textures to original

Lower shadow map resolution

Extended shadow distance

Better hit sounds for some moves (e.g., Hayate 9kkk, Raidou 33kp)

Fixed missing hit sounds for Brad, Eliot and Honoka

Improved hand motions for some moves (mostly for Raidou)

Added sound for some throw moves (not finished)

Male Santa costumes were replaced by custom costumes (Total 14)

Corrected rendering issues for some costumes

Adjusted stage lighting

Fixed neck seam for some costumes

Better Korean localization

Open DOA5 VU Mod. 7z and extract every folders and files into your game folder.

e.g., steamLibrary\steamapps\common\Dead or Alive 5 Last Round\mod.config

e.g., steamLibrary\steamapps\common\Dead or Alive 5 Last Round\mods(folder)

- DLC Costumes

Open DOA5 VU Mod DLC. 7z and extract every folders into your dlc folder.

e.g., steamLibrary\steamapps\common\Dead or Alive 5 Last Round\DLC\352150...

Warning - IMPORTANT!

VU Mod doesn't support Ultimate Content Set DLC. You must disable that DLC in Steam. or the other DLCs will be overwritten by Ultimate Content Set DLC. This usually happens in pirated and cracked game

Playing online multiplayer with this mod is not recommended. Edited animations and moveset files can make your game disconnected.

You can't use other mods that using Lnk_Reshuffle with this mod (costume mods are ok)

You can't use some DLCs properly without base mod.

Other info

Glasses are disabled except for Christie, Lisa and school uniform costumes.

This mod developed on Steam retail version of DOA5. I don't know about pirated version of the game
