Days Gone - True World ReShade Preset

Version 1. 05 is now released. this is gonna be the final version of the mod (I'll update it whenever the file becomes outdated). enjoy.

This is a ReShade preset for Days Gone made to make the world look more appealing. starting off by removing/desaturating the blue filter in snowy areas, and the night time in order to make shadows, dark spaces, and cold areas look more realistic but also maintaining a level of difficulty in navigating the dark.

to further add, shadows are now heavier in contrast, are much darker, and are heavily desaturated to make navigation in the dark more of a challenge without being completely impossible. now the night will threaten your visibility, needing you to be more aware of what's lurking.

It also adds radiance and more exposure to the natural light in order to make the sun in the sky and light reflections more prevalent without being blinding. the grass and other greenery is also darkened with the rest of the environment, while also having slightly less saturation and vibrancy but greater contrast against sandy ground as a result.

the graphics are also made much sharper with adaptive sharpness in order to emphasize the cracks in the environment, such as the tarmac roads and stone structures while also making the game appear slightly less blurry.

There is also an RTGI version available. it will take away a heavy amount of frames. on an RTX3060 there is a 15 FPS loss.

Installing this is simple. just have Version 6. 6. 2 or newer of ReShade.

take the file from this mod and bring it to Local Disk(your hardrive/SSD name) > SteamLibrary > Common > Days Gone > BendGame > Binaries > Win64

Put the extracted file in Win64 and it should work. Open the ReShade menu and use the drop down box to select the True World ini file.
