Dark Gritty Night (Not a Reshade)

Ever since Days Gone released, night time has been its weakest visual aspect. The nights have a very strong blue tint and exposure is overblown. Though remastered version addressed this shortcoming pretty well, it gave an unpleasant dark blue tint to the whole image often reducing details and muting other colours. With numerous issues with the update, I rolled back to the Non-Remastered version yet the itch for darker and more gritty nights still remained.

This is my take on the night time for Days Gone (not designed for Remastered and it will not work with it) removing the blue tint with a more much more pleasing yet gritty colourgrade with lot more darker nights compared to vanilla while maintaining full visibility for gameplay purposes.

INSTALLATION:

1. Navigate to your Days Gone installation directory and rename sfpaks to sfpakss located in Days Gone/Bend Game/Content/

2. Create a folder named Paks inside User Name/AppData/Local/Bend Game/Saved/

3. Paste your desired Pak file

r. TonemapperFilm=1

In game brightness can be set accordingly based on personal preference and monitor settings. Mine is set to 8 in game. If the nights feel too dark after enabling r. ToneMapperFilm=1 set it to 0 and add these three cvars instead.

r. TonemapperFilm=0

r. Color. Mid=0. 45

r. Color. Max=1. 0

Tested at default brightness setting of 5

IMPORTANT

Once again this mod was designed and tested for Days Gone Non-Remastered version and i have confirmed it does not work with the Remastered version due to changes in how lighting is handled internally so its advised to downgrade to 1. 06 which was the last patch before the Remastered update
