Combat Shotgun Evolved

This mod balances the Combat Shotgun and turns it into a reliable, mid-range, and highly accurate weapon.

It achieves this -for the most- part by heavily reducing pellet spread and changing reticle style and size for easier target acquisition.

Update: Uploaded a file that does the same to the Sawed-off shotgun (pickable from enemies).

The mod also doesn't change maximum range but removes damage falloff, you'll either be able to inflict max damage or not at all.

This mod doesn't -technically- increase the maximum damage the Combat Shotgun is capable off, it just pretty much guarantees you'll always be able to deliver that consistently. I think it becomes comparable to the Badland Big Game.

Mods that increase shotgun range or shotgun pellet count are compatible with this, so you can heavily increase the efficiency\damage of the combat shotgun by combining this mod with either or both. Note that with the improved pellet spread & no damage falloff, increasing pellet count & range with these mods -I imagine- will turn this into a railgun so balance it as you choose.

Changes made to the Combat Shotgun:

  Installation:

  • []Unpack the .rar and copy .pak file from it to %LocalAppData%\BendGame\Saved\Paks

    If this is your first mod then first:

    • []Go to %LocalAppData%\BendGame\Saved\ & create a new folder and name it 'Paks'

    • Go to your Game installation folder, to "Days Gone\BendGame\Content" and rename the folder sfpaks to sfpakss
