📋 About This Mod
Sen's Fortress is a scary and dark place that deserves proper textures.
Prepare to Die once again in a better looking environment.
Sen's Fortress overhaul is a complete re-texture with new high res textures staying as true as possible to the original with kept look and feel of decay. Original color palett was used, so that the textures don't seem off. All of the textures are at least double in size of the original.
On textures 00e1fd19.dds, 00b1b015.dds, aa994be9.dds, original textures were used and tiled to increase the resolution with appropriate normal maps. As a result the objects now look as they should and not like smudges.
Rest of the textures are done from scratch.
Unfortunately I only didn't get to rework some small stuff. I hope I'll do them in the near future.
1. Download, install and configure DSfix 2. Download Sen's Fortress overhaul package from the files section 3. If you're using Steam extract the files to ... Steam/steamapps/common/Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition/DATA/dsfix/tex_override 4. If you're NOT using steam then extract the files to .../Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition/DATA/dsfix/tex_override

I strongly recommend it, even if you don't use any texture mods!
You can grab my settings or the whole pack in the files section. I only altered sharpening, SMAA and just a tiny bit of vibrance. The result is the exact same feel of the vanilla just clearer and sharper. It removes that annoying foggy/dusty look.
To install SweetFX or only the settings, just extract files to the .../Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition/DATA folder.

All textures went through one last pass through, making optimizations on normal maps, color corrections, resolutions etc.
There are also 7 new textures, including bottom pillar ornament, fortress entrance gates and rooftops (they also replace rooftops in Anor Londo)
Regarding performance, it runs smooth on my end. As I mentioned before my rig is old so I can only presume it will run much better on new rigs with SSD.
Included in this update is a 2k version.
Around 20 textures are in 2048x2048 resolution.
