Description

Ever wish Daggerfall was made by FromSoftware? Me neither. Regardless, here's a mod to keep the game world running behind menus and message boxes.

Installation instructions

Drop the dfmod into StreamingAssets/mods.

Main features

• []All game menus, including inventory, character sheet, journal, travel map, automaps, dialogue and message box windows will no longer pause the game.[/]

  []Includes purpose-built quest-message sequencing, keeping quest dialogue in order while the world continues running. Messages wait their turn instead of piling up, and the quest behind each message waits for you to finish reading or responding before continuing. Saving is temporarily blocked while quest messages remain unfinished, preventing unread dialogue from being lost when you reload.[/]

  []Transparent menus: removes the solid background textures from character sheet, inventory and journal. Built-in compatibility with Uncanny Interface (fork) and Expanded Inventory. Includes optional backdrop shader[/]

  []Option to let the escape menu and its submenus pause.[/]

  []"Danger Blocks Job Offers" option to let nearby enemies prevent new quests being offered by NPCs and Guilds. I'm exploring ways to safely expand this feature to include other quests and dialogue.[/]

Requirements

This mod uses harmony, and comes with its own bundled version. However, it will check to see if harmony is already loaded into your game; if not, it will load the bundled version.
