Names of Tamriel - A NameGen Overhaul

If you're either tired of seeing so many Ashcrofts or you come from the newer titles, this mod adds every name (and surname, for a handful races) from Morrowind onward to the namegen, for a total of over 11 million name combinations (roughly the population of 1300's Italy, for a good comparison)

Supports all vanilla races but Redguards. (to be fair, I've done the math and they get even more names than the Khajiit)

The mod affects both NPC names and the character creation name generator.

Install guide: Drop the "DaggerfallUnity_Data" folder on the root of your DFU setup.

(If you're using a non-Windows installation that makes folders replace each-other, follow the route provided by the .rar file to avoid replacing the entirety of your DFU with nothing but a namegen.)

FAQ before I go

Q: Should I use this mod or Rosy's NameGen?

A: Depends on your personal taste.

Install Names of Tamriel if you want purely names that appeared in future games, including the French-based Bretons.

Install Rosy's NameGen if you want to have a modernized Daggerfall's block-based name generation along vanilla-sounding Bretons.

Q: How in Oblivion you did that?

A: By compiling every name in flat lists and then adding them to the NameGen, emptying the second parameters responsible for the name suffixes. It led to a 2. 2MB bloated file, but I haven't seen any hit to performance yet.

Q: There's too few Argonian names!

A: Khajiit names take advantage of their suffixes/prefixes, but Argonians have nothing like that. I want more names, but I also don't want to make the mod lore breaking, so a balance must be assumed.

Q: I have this cool name, can you add it to the mod?

A: If it properly reflects the naming conventions, consider it added in a future update. Though, expect a long while until I update it as we'll need a lot of names to properly add to the actual bulk.

Q: How come so many Nord name combinations?

A: Daggerfall uses (Male Name)sen for surnames, which is surprisingly accurate (In case you don't believe me, here's the Iceland national football team), so basically a list with 1,934 names is used to generate surnames, practically winning everybody else's lists in the process.

Q: My Bretons became Fr*nch! Fix that!

A: For the meantime you might prefer Rosy's NameGen, which retains the OG structure for Bretons. I've concluded that it is a daunting task to make
