### 📦 Description

Beautyfall is a lightweight visual overhaul for Daggerfall Unity, enhancing the game’s graphics without completely losing the pixelated charm of classic Daggerfall.

Textures in this mod are just 4× to 8× the resolution of the originals, providing a clear visual upgrade with minimal performance impact — even on low-end hardware. It’s designed to enrich the game’s atmosphere while breathing new life into its environments.

While some may prefer a style closer to vanilla, I personally never liked the original art style. So in making this mod, I placed no restrictions on my creative freedom — I focused purely on what I felt looked best, even if that meant diverging from the original developers’ intentions. The only consistency I’ve preserved is the general theme and mood of each region.

This mod covers world/environmental textures only, including:

- Buildings

- Interiors

- Ground textures

- Furniture

- Miscellaneous objects (e.g. lampposts, signs)

This mod does NOT include:

- NPC or player paper doll textures

- Armors, weapons, clothing, or inventory items

- UI elements (inventory, spellbook, maps, etc.)

Only textures relevant to the environment are covered in this mod.

While most in-game textures have been overhauled, a few vanilla textures remain in this release. These include some minor environmental or miscellaneous assets. They will be replaced in future updates, but for now, they don’t significantly clash with the overall visual style.

A patch is now available to make Beautyfall compatible with Transparent Windows by Macadaynu! This patch was created by RosyTheRascal, who awesomely and graciously made it available for everyone who wished they could enjoy Beautyfall’s beautiful landscape textures while indoors. ### 📜 Permissions & Credits

While the vast majority of textures in this mod were hand-painted or crafted by me, a few were sourced from the internet with the full intention of complying with open usage permissions.

In all cases, textures were edited to some degree — none were used “as-is.” They were color-corrected and, in most cases, reworked to ensure proper tiling and consistency.
