Devils Performance Pack

Is your PC struggling to run Cult of the Lamb? The Devils Performance Pack is a performance mod built to keep low-end and older PCs running smoothly through the chaos of managing your cult. Its goal is simple: cut stutters, tame particle-heavy scenes, and squeeze out extra FPS without wrecking the game's art style.

(This mod is forked and adapted from my Sherma Performance Pack for Hollow Knight: Silksong, rebuilt for Cult of the Lamb's engine and quirks.)

✨ Main Features:

• []Real-Time Resolution Scaling: Change the game's actual render resolution on the fly with keyboard shortcuts — the biggest FPS lever on weak/integrated GPUs.[/]

  []Smart Particle Management: Scans, reduces, or disables ambient particles (snow, smoke, dust, torches) while keeping gameplay-critical particles (blood, hits, rituals) intact.[/]

  []Post-Processing Control: Toggle off Bloom, Vignette, Depth of Field, Motion Blur, and Chromatic Aberration individually, or kill post-processing entirely for the biggest single saving.[/]

  []Quality Overrides: Fine-grained control over shadows, textures, lighting, LOD, reflections, and anti-aliasing.[/]

  []VSync / Frame Rate Control: Force VSync off and set a custom target frame rate independent of the game's own settings menu.[/]

  []FPS Counter: Lightweight, color-coded overlay (green/yellow/red), configurable position and size, toggle with F10.[/]

  []Profiles: Switch instantly between Quality, Balanced, Potato, or Custom presets.[/]

  []Quick Menu: An in-game F9 menu to flip toggles, change profiles, and manage particles without digging through BepInEx's config screen.[/]

  ⌨️ Controls:

  • []F2: 50% render scale — max performance.[/]

    []F3: 60% render scale.[/]

    []F4: 70% render scale.[/]

    []F5: 85% render scale.[/]

    []F6: 100% — native resolution.[/]

    []F9: Opens the Quick Menu (Profiles, Toggles, FPS settings, Particle management).[/]

    []F10: Toggle FPS Counter visibility.[/]

    ⚠️ IMPORTANT: Resolution presets (F2–F6) mainly help if your bottleneck is GPU. Cult of the Lamb is a 2D game and can be CPU-bound instead — if F2–F6 don't move your FPS much, lean on the particle and post-processing toggles instead.

    Requirements: BepInEx 5. 4+ installed.

      📖 About this mod

      Devils Performance Pack is forked and adapted from my Sherma Performance Pack for Hollow Knight: Silksong. Same core idea — squeeze weak/integrated GPUs through games that bring them to their knees — rebuilt from scratch to fit Cult of the Lamb's particle-heavy scenes and 2D rendering.

      This is still active work: this build (v1. 1. 2) is stable and playable day-to-day, and future updates will keep improving GPU-side optimizations and fixing edge cases as they come up.

      ⚠️ A quick heads-up: This is early beta and I work alone, so testing across different hardware is limited. If something doesn't behave as expected, let me know — bug reports genuinely help me prioritize fixes.
