Operation Erika

DATE: 2031-09-15 / LOCATION: Sea of Okhotsk & Northern Territories / PLAYABLE SIDE: Japan / USA OPERATION ERIKA: OPERATION ERIKA: Defense of the Northern Territories This scenario is a defense simulation to thwart a large-scale armed invasion by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation against the Northern Territories (Etorofu Island), our nation's inherent territory. Historically, the Northern Territories have never been occupied by any foreign nation and have consistently been administered under Japanese sovereignty. Currently, however, a powerful Russian surface strike group and amphibious forces have commenced their advance towards Etorofu Island, with an all-out assault by the Aerospace Forces imminent within hours. As the commander of the Japan-U. S. Joint Task Force, the player must command the JSDF and U. S. Forces assets (7th Fleet, F-35s, Aegis vessels, HIMARS, surface-to-ship missiles, etc.) already deployed in Hokkaido and the Northern Territories to halt the enemy invasion forces. Preemptive strikes are strictly prohibited. In the event of an armed attack by hostile forces, the use of all weapons is authorized.
