Defense of Luzon - A Future Conflict in the Luzon Strait In this wargame scenario, tensions in the Indo-Pacific region have reached a boiling point. The Luzon Strait, a strategic chokepoint between the Philippine island of Luzon and Taiwan, has become the focal point of an imminent military confrontation. The People’s Republic of China (RED) is preparing to launch a large-scale offensive aimed at gaining control of the strait, potentially severing vital maritime routes and asserting dominance in the region. The situation escalates as intelligence reports confirm that the PLA has deployed a heavily defended amphibious task force. This fleet, consisting of troop carriers, supply ships, and escorting warships, is en route to the Philippine coastline. Its objective: to establish a beachhead on Luzon and secure a foothold for subsequent operations. The amphibious task force is supported by a layered defense of air cover, missile escorts, and submarine screens, posing a significant challenge to BLUE forces. As the player, you assume the role of the commander of the BLUE forces tasked with fortifying Luzon’s defenses to repel this multi-pronged assault. Your mission is twofold: prepare an optimal defensive setup and adapt to the evolving threats posed by the RED forces.
