Monroe Doctrine

This four day long scenario is set slightly in the future depicting a conflict between the US, Cuba, and China; set in the Caribbean. The United States of America is once again called to defend herself against communism. The last three months have been full of suffering as Covid-21 ravages the elderly population of the world. However, China and her allies are untouched by the virus, as vaccines against it had been stockpiled for months. As the economies of the global powers collapse, Cuba & Venezuela join the belt and road initiative and see tremendous growth in their economies. There is a price to pay for everything, however, and Chinese military interests now dominate both of the nations’ actions. As the United States realizes exactly what has happened with the biological weapon Covid-21, and Chinese military forces reinforce the island, the PLAN Liaoning Carrier Force is spotted by satellite making flank speed for the Panama Canal. The same response is played as the last Cuban crisis: an imminent blockade of Cuba, alongside an ultimatum - return the fleet to China, or face war. For the second time in the twenty-first century, the giant has been awoken from its slumber. The events of this scenario are based on the book Monroe Doctrine, with liberties taken to make the events of the book more playable. This is my first scenario. I have been a CMO player for years, and wanted to give back to the community. Hopefully I’ll get into the community scenario pack with this. Thank you to the creator of the World Military map, it made finding airport locations a lot easier. Let me know in the comments below if anything should be changed; I unfortunately do not know how to use LUA coding and therefore this scenario is a little on the simple side for enemy AI.
