Venezuela Blockade

Playable side: Venezuela - Peru Points: 20 x each ship or sub destroyed, 10 x each aircraft, 5 x Facility and 100 x Captured Airport (the same points are subtracted if the computer side destroy the same type in the Playable side) Briefing: The situation in Venezuela has deteriorated after the chairman of the National Assembly called himself President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. The crisis has led to the point where the president of Venezuela has arrested the chairman of the National Assembly, causing his supporters to take to the streets and clashes with the riot police and the army. Because of this, the US government has decided to block Veneuela by sea and air, and threatening to stop and sink if necessary, any ship that passes through the exclusion zone declared north of the country (marked in red in the map). The situation between the two countries is not friendly, but it can become hostile at any time. While most Latin American countries have recommended prudence and resolve the dispute by political means without taking sides. Meanwhile the government of Peru has sent several MIG-29SMP fighters to Venezuela, but only to use them in case of defense of the country. Russia has provided logistical assistance through an A-50 airplane (AWACS), Air Refueling Tankers, 6 x SU-25TM and more antiair battalions. The Dutch government has fortified its airport at Curacao, due to its proximity to Venezuela, but they are neutral meanwhile another NATO country is not attacked. Special attention should be given to a Venezuelan Bulk-Carrier that approaches the exclusion zone northwest of PUNTO FIJO, since it is being stalked by an american LCS.
