Northernmost Ambitions CMO

Northernmost Ambitions Playable side: Russian Red Navy December, 5th of 2019 After the successful territorial expansion executed in Crimean Peninsula by the Russian Government in 2014 and a NATO non-reaction posture against Russia promoted by the American Government, the Russians saw once again the opportunity of expansion, but that time, furthest north in Artic Polar Circle, at the norwagian Svalbard Islands. The Arctic Circle is well known for its petroleum, minerals and gas depots and since 2012 a large secret nuclear powered underwater project has been deployed in polar circle by the russians for unknown purposes, beside that the populations of Pyramiden russian town and Barentsburg russian settlement, both in Svalbard, were rapidly increased since then as well. The core plan was similar to the Crimea one, the russians settlers in Svalbard claimed prosecution by the Norwegian government and historical sovereignty over the islands, putting the Svalbard Treaty under suspicion. After an infiltration of russian agents in Svalbard and an unofficial independence referendum be fraudly reported, pro-russian protests had been violently suppressed by the Norwegian Svalbard Police. That triggered the russian government to suggest a peacekeeping mission in Svalbard. In response the Norwegian decide to strongly reinforce the islands defenses. Once with its inhospitable lands, Svalbard was now with fertile fields but to war. By Abramosss
