BALTAP - Break Through The Sound, 1963

The breakthrough of Soviet units from the Baltic Sea to North Sea through Sound and Belts (Danish Islands) was one of the standard scenarios for Danish and German navies during the cold war era. In this fictional scenario in 1963 the Soviets started an offensive against NATO and took Bornholm. They are attacking northern Germany and Denmark and established a beachhead on Zealand. The battle of Zealand is going on (but not simulated in this scenario). Sweden declared to be neutral. They will defend against any intruders in their airspace and territorial waters. However, in Oeresund between Falsterbo and Moelle all nations may use Swedish territorial waters for transit. A Soviet Task Group consisting of some cruisers tries to break out through Oeresund (The Sound) for transit via Skagerrak to the North Sea. Your mission is to prevent that they will reach their goal.
