📋 About This Mod

An original magic staff model, created so that a certain Witch will not be without her instrument any longer. Replaces most Halberd-class weapons.

Witch Elise Staff V1. 1 by Mattatatta

"An arcane staff of unknown origin that can absorb ichor.

Witches and Wizards are nothing without something to channel their power, but a staff also lends itself well for dealing with nearby foes."

This mod is a scratch-made magic staff of my own creation, originally made so that it can accompany my OC in her journey through Vein. This is my first 3D model and I hope it meets your expectations!

Unless otherwise stated by the .pak you've downloaded, this mod replaces the Bardiche. V1. 1 includes other replacement options for those who might not want to replace this weapon.

Changes from V1. 0:

  • []Improved model shading

[]Added Socket for the left hand: now your character's left hand will properly align when idle.

[]Added Sockets for weapon trails: Elise's Staff can now take advantage of weapon trail mods such as Custom Weapon Trails by renpyon! I recommended the green glowing version!

[]Added new replacement options for most Halberd-class weapons, these can be found under the optional downloads and they do not require the main file.

    Notes:

    • []The glowing element does not vanish when using Shifting Hollow or similar gifts, and doesn't vanish when dispersing. The rest of the model, however, behaves like how vanilla weapons do.

[]Different variants of the mod will have slight differences in how the model's shading and reflectiveness are handled. This is because of how each of the game's original weapons have their materials set up. It is not a bug, just a limitation of how my mod is implemented. This will not become obvious without installing two different variants together.

[]The Garnet Splitter and Dammerung versions are included together because both share the same model. I cannot change one without having to change the other.

[]The Sunset Halberd version will have enemies appear with the staff too, I cannot do anything about this.

    • The above also applies to the Argent Wolf Poleaxe and Black Halberd versions.

      Installation/Uninstallation:

To install the mod, go to where the game is installed and navigate to "CODE VEIN\CodeVein\Content\Paks\~mods". If the ~mods folder does not exist, create it yourself and place the .pak file inside that folder.

To uninstall the mod, simply delete the .pak.

If you download this mod, I'd love to see screenshots of it in use, so please share them on the mod page, or you can share them on twitter and mention @Mattatatta.

Also, many thanks to the CV Modding Discord server for their help with questions I had while I learnt the ropes. https://discord.gg/VvfvWn9
