BCI Enterprise - 2019 Specification

BCI was founded in 1991 in Perth, Western Australia, by entrepreneur and bus industry veteran Ron J. Nazzari. It started as a small, family-run operation that initially imported fully assembled and knocked-down buses from Malaysia. It would move production to China in 2005, and open their own factory in the country in 2011. The current-generation Citirider range was first unveiled in 2015, designed as a low-entry bus suitable for both public and school service operation. Two and three axle low-floor double deck versions was launched in 2016. The Citirider is available both as an integral vehicle or on a choice of external OEM chassis, as well as being offered in both diesel and electric forms. It would be overhauled in 2019 with a new body design, however the prior generation continues to be built on OEM chassis options. The United Kingdom represents one of the most mature and highly regulated double-decker bus markets globally. Historically dominated by domestic manufacturers, the market poses high barriers to entry for foreign OEMs. However, in 2016, the prominent UK bus dealer and operator Ensignbus forged a partnership with BCI, acting as the exclusive UK importer and identifying a highly specific market niche: ultra-high-capacity passenger transport. The result would be the triaxle Enterprise and dual axle Excellence, able to be tailored to the exact needs of an operator. 21 of these combined were produced between 2016 and 2019, including a hybrid Enterprise for trial in London and one powered by a Weichai engine versus the Cummins units fitted to the remainder built. This mod depicts the revised UK specification of the Enterprise with an emergency exit and extra side destination board on the offside, hopper windows, large cab window glazing with floating sliding windows and individual LED headlight clusters. This mod is fitted with the CBM Matrix system by _T_B_N_ and includes the BVG destination fonts by airlinerfan. For further information on how to use this
