GM Buses RM2202 - 776 DYE - AEC Routemaster - Piccadilly Line

For a short time GM Buses operated a batch of London Transport Routemasters on route 143 Manchester Piccadilly Bus Station <> West Didsbury. These were branded as the 143 Piccadilly Line This version features the alternative route branding in the advert space, showing where the route goes, which has remained largely unchanged to this day. This bus should actually be numbered RM1776, however the number was misapplied. All the other GM Routemasters had the correct LT bonnet numbers. GM Buses would eventually retire the use of Routemasters around June 1990. This practice was later continued for a short time by Mancunian Bus Co (Midway of Eccles)
