Your company starts in the small North Yorkshire market town of Leyburn. You have a bank balance of £17,000, a fleet of 18 buses, and a network of 4 routes in the local area. As a small independent, you do not have access to subsidies, making life a lot harder in rural Northern England. Your task is simple, balance the books. You need to survive in a hostile, low demand environment. Expand if you must, the large town of Darlington sits to the north-east and the small city of Ripon to the south-east. The ultimate goal, the money bank of Leeds, sits agonisingly out of reach to the south... You can earn money from Charter trips approximately every 10 days, adjusting ticket prices to match demand, your three Ticket Inspectors and selling off any bits of fleet you may decide you don't need. Be wary of buses getting damaged in the not-too-kind terrain.. Remember to be careful with your expansions, as you only have 4 external depots to place! Be as tactical as you can. Good luck! - Holly x
