Karosa ŠM11.1605 1965

Karosa ŠM11 was a new generation of buses, which came to production in 1965. The bus had the engine placed under the floor, expanding the saloon and capacity following modern trends in the 60ies. The bus was self-supporting, was built from several panels, which were completed before they were mount together (separate sides, fronts, roof, bottom). The design was interesting, as it was reusing the same shape for both front and back. ŠM11 were the first buses that were equiped with automatic transmission Praga 2M70 and were built in multiple series (with adjustments) till 1981.
