Skoda 706RTO CAR 050 1962

In 1962 the production of Škoda 706RTO CAR was stopped at LIAZ Mnichovo Hradište and the production of CAR (regional) version was forced to Karosa Vysoké Mýto. At that time Karosa was only producing the city and long distance version of RTO (MTZ/MEX & LUX). As each factory (SVA, LIAZ, Karosa) produced the bodies on it's own, and Karosa didn't have the CAR body in it's previous portfolio, they quickly came with a short-term fix, which was CAR 050. Škoda 706RTO CAR 050 had the body from a LUX, with manual door, but without the roof windows and with CAR interior. They were built in 1962 until Karosa fixed it's production line to incorporate the CAR body version into their production.
