PartLabels

Custom typed labels for CMS 2021 parts — tag tires, plugs, and anything else when you unmount them so reassembly is easier.

Requirements

• []Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 (PC)[/]

  []MelonLoader v0. 5. 7 — MelonLoader install guide[/]

  PLEASE NOTICE: you need to install v0. 5. 7 of MelonLoader (latest v0. 6. 5 is incompatible, or any other version than v0. 5. 7).

  What it does

  • []When you unmount a part, a label popup appears so you can type a short tag (e.g. DF, DR, S1).[/]

    []Labels show on inventory items as Part Name.[/]

    []You can also open inventory, select a part, and press L to add or edit a label later.[/]

    []Labels are saved between sessions (Mods/PartLabels_data.txt).[/]

    How to use

    • []Unmount a part → type a label → Save (or Skip / Esc if you don’t want one).[/]

      []Or open inventory → select the part → press L → type → Save.[/]

      []Clear the text and Save to remove a label.[/]

      Install

      • []Install MelonLoader 0. 5. 7 into the CMS 2021 folder (automated installation).[/]

        []Drop PartLabels.dll into:

        …\Car Mechanic Simulator 2021\Mods\[/]

        []Launch the game once so MelonLoader creates config files.[/]

        Config

        After first run: Mods/PartLabels.cfg

        • []Enabled — turn the mod on/off[/]

          []PromptOnUnmount — ask for a label when a part is removed (default on)[/]

          []LabelKey — hotkey in inventory (default L)[/]

          []ShowBrackets — show vs DF | name[/]

          Compatibility

          • []Made for MelonLoader 0. 5. 7 + CMS 2021 IL2CPP[/]

            []Should work alongside other MelonLoader mods (e.g. QoL)[/]

            []Not compatible with MelonLoader 0. 6.x[/]

            Notes

            • []Labels are tied to each part’s unique item ID — after you install a labeled part, the tag stays with that inventory item.[/]

              []Popup blocks the game cursor while open so you don’t click the car by mistake.[/]

              Local / personal release. Use at your own risk; back up saves if you’re cautious.
