📋 About This Mod

First in a series of full frames for some old muscle cars Based on actual drawings of an Art Morrison Enterprises aftermarket frame

NOTICE

I plan on discontinuing this mod in the future.

It was a valiant effort but it just didn't live up to its expectations. The new subframe for front and rear will be so much better and fit so any more vehicles and I can see myself doing sets of those in different styles and that they will be able to be mixed and matched and used on a wide variety of vehicles…

So stay tuned…

It's always bugged me the lazy way which red dot created suspensions, they do not connect to anything. Now these frames don't connect everywhere like in real life, so if you looking for absolute scale real life perfect keep walking, this ain't for you.

These frames give you more of a visual. They're not technically accurate nor were they meant to be. They are more however than just a crossmember with four bushings ;-) they're based off of actual blueprints of an Art Morrison Enterprises aftermarket frame, I created a tube aftermarket a arm kit with a straight vertical spring.

I think for the initial effort they came out pretty nice, they do work, blocking seems to work good, some may be a little long in the rear and it may seem to interfere with exhaust systems if you leave those alone but it is a game after all and not a true simulation.

And I did these for me, as I'm sure that I will do more for more vehicles, maybe even make different styles, matter-of-fact I'm sure I will.

Installation instructions

Okay, I'm going to assume that you have melon installed, and QOL and possibly a few more mods and maybe even TK aftermarket. But if you don't have melon or QOL search for them here and get those first and get them working, then get TK aftermarket 7. 9. 4 and install it, launch the game, close the game and go edit the config file that it made in the mods directory and set dynamic suspensions to false.

Then just unzip this package in the content folder of TK aftermarket.

Then when you bring up the car editor, you should be able to go into one of the cars that I have made frames for and they are currently

chieftain TBX

Oldsmobile 442

From the Dodge DLC

From the workshop

the Apache panel van

If you select one of the vehicles in car editor and go under suspensions, for front center you want to choose the frame which will be prefaced with "#Masters" for example for the Impala it would be #MastersImpala

Then under the left and right steering you want to select #MastersWishbone

And while they can be used with leaf springs if that's what you desire, I did include my 4 link which will just be under #4-link and of course that will go into your rear center.

I normally uncheck the body so I can see everything going on and make sure it's worth supposed to be.

The other hint that I can give you is instead of having 4 bushings in 4 cups, you have four bushings one in each corner of the frame accessible from underneath the frame (will tidy that up later)

Requirements

TKAftermarket, melon and I'm sure QOL would be installed (at least that's what I have installed) as for TK aftermarket I use 7. 9. 4 and very importantly in the configuration file that it makes I set dynamic suspensions to false, and QOL 4. 4.

The reason I set TK's dynamic suspensions to false is I don't want to be forced to make ball joints and a million little parts when creating steering and/or rear end geometry. I'm not looking for realism, just a little more realism than what red dot provided.

Shout outs

Of course TK and anyone who downloads and enjoys this
